Mentorship Program Model
H.G. Swells is a Vancouver-based alternative model specializing in Steam Punk, Victorian, and vintage men's fashions, with a performance background in theatre. He is just starting to explore a career in front of the camera and on the runway, and is a member of the Bonerattle Talent Mentorship Program.
Since joining the program, his portfolio has expanded and now includes images by Alex Larente, BWD Photo, Dezzart Photography, and S.Jade Creatives. One of his first gigs was as a live promotional model for Boo LaLa Costumes at 2014 FanExpo Vancouver, posing for photos and delighting the crowd while dressed as Skeletor.
He walked in his first fashion show in October of 2014, for Deadly Couture at the sold-out smash, Beerlesque IV, an annual fundraiser for the Roundhouse Community Centre that combines fashion, burlesque, and craft beer for a night of revelry.
H.G. Swells portrayed The Giant from Twin Peaks as a part of Bonerattle Talent's Wrapped in Plastic: An evening inspired by David Lynch, at LanaLou's Rock'n Roll Eatery. He followed this up with stage kittying at 'Hot & Sticky 2: Electric Boogaloo', and then in full drag as a very convincing Jessica Rabbit for Bonerattle's 'Femme Fatale Burlesque' show, both at Funky Winkerbeans.
His goals for the future include continuing to build a varied portfolio, participate in more fashion shows, and eventually work towards performing within Vancouver's live theatre and burlesque communities.
