TERESA MARIE, PRESIDENT / FOUNDER
Teresa Marie is a model, musician, and performer with an eclectic background in theatre, film, public relations, sales, event planning, and the travel industry. She has a lifelong passion for the arts and a gift for working with people.
"Bonerattle Talent was created to bring people together, to support a love of the arts, and to give a home to all of those talented individuals who deserve specialized representation because they break the mold altogether. I really wanted to tear down the barriers and some of the stereotypes surrounding the outdated yet still very present notions that vanilla models can’t work alongside tattooed models, or that curvy models represent real women, but petite models somehow do not."
Teresa Marie's work has been featured in numerous publications, including Retro Lovely, Atomic Bombshells, Kat Club, Drive-In Magazine, Delicious Dolls, Ivy Magazine, Xpressions, SAD MAG, and several others. In Oct 2013, she organized a business trip to Los Angeles, CA, where she and several of Bonerattle Talent's key players shot with multiple photographers for a feature spread in Atomic Bombshells.
On the runway, she has walked for designers such as Misty Greer, Deadly Couture, and ShiverZ Designs. With a love for wigs and extravagant makeup, she is a master of disguise; A latex and corset-clad chameleon.
"I don't believe that you need to have a particular kind of body to be 'a model'. Your breasts don't need to be bigger or smaller. You don't need perfect teeth. You need to believe in yourself; You need to be able to handle rejection & criticism (as well as praise & admiration), with poise and without ego. You need to find ways of bettering yourself and the world around you on a daily basis."
In addition to being a model and performer, Teresa Marie has experience organizing and hosting burlesque revues, pageants, and fashion shows for small private events, or larger scale ones such as the Taboo Naughty But Nice Show (annually since 2013), Vancouver Fetish Weekend, Beerlesque, and The Parade of Lost Souls, just to name a few. She has produced and promoted events around town at venues such as The Railway Club, The Fairview Pub, The Shameful Tiki Room, Heaven's Door, and organized a bi-monthly burlesque show for 2 years at Funky Winkerbeans.
Teresa Marie also runs the Bonerattle Talent Mentorship Program, Babes for Bears (a local non-profit organization), and is Managing Editor of Beauty Mark Magazine.
